From the use of GIS data, a theoretical path profile can be calculated. Once the sight and clear paths have been identified a Line of Sight Survey (LOS) can be ordered.

A Line of Sight Survey is to confirm that the theoretical design matches the actual terrain. This would involve an engineer visiting a site to confirm that there are no obstacles and a clear path exists.

Microwave System Installation
Based on the results of the surveys, AlanDick will be able to install the Antennas as the required aperture height and orientation. The outdoor units and waveguides will be installed as per design. The installation engineer will install the radio equipment as per the general arrangement drawings.

Microwave Transmission Commissioning
Once the installation is complete AlanDick will verify the link alignment and check the link budget. AlanDick will check the connections for correctness and neatness before running a Bit Error Rate (BER) check of the link for the recommended soak time.
