Main Feeders

AlanDick can supply and install main feeders, connecting the transmitter to the antenna.

The main feeder is a key element in the performance of the overall broadcast transmission and AlanDick ensures that it is matched for each application.

AlanDick engineers will select the most appropriate feeder size (½" to 12") and type (semi-flexible, air spaced, foam dielectric, rigid coaxial or waveguide) based on the following criteria:-

• Power (kW)
• Peak Voltage (V)
• Required Bandwidth (MHz)
• The Installed environment
• Overall length
• Distribution losses or attenuation
• Safety factor

• Connectors
• Earthing kit
• Hoisting stockings
• Clamps

In addition, for protection against ingress of moisture in the feeder, AlanDick can select, supply and install the most applicable dehydrator for each site.
