AlanDick was commissioned to design, manufacture and erect a radome for its client Raytheon, as part of its contract to upgrade radar systems across the UK for National Air Traffic Services (NATS).For the provision of radar systems it is common to enclose them in radomes to protect them from severe weather. Our team was required to design a cost effective radome to meet exacting environmental, structural and electromagnetic requirements. Because the radome was
designed specifically for this project, it
had to be fully qualified according to the
following steps:
1. New geometric
design
|
Because of our wealth of knowledge and experience, we are able to accomplish all three - in house: as well as carrying out the tricky erection - often in inclement weather. AlanDick's radome solution at Burrington, gives NATS' radar system protection against severe weather conditions, whilst offering ease of ongoing maintenance activities. |
