In recent years, AlanDick has transferred the extensive skills and knowledge it developed in commercial broadcasting and telecoms, to the specialised transportation environment.

A major part of AlanDick’s involvement in the transportation environment has been its involvement with Network Rail on its GSM-R project.

AlanDick has integrated equipment into relocatable equipment buildings (REB) for a large number sites - and has provided Network Rail with a cost effective method for deploying its radio base stations around the UK rail network.

This solution is equally suitable for other communications applications, such as housing PABXs, repeater stations and signalling equipment.

AlanDick was awarded the full Contractors Assurance Case by Network Rail, which has permitted us to partner other companies required to undertake telecoms implementation or associated activities in a rail environment. This has enabled us to work as Principal Contractor for Network Rail, Nortel and others during the installation of the UK GSM-R network.

We have also provided a range of site implementation services to Network Rail. This work has made use of several elements of the end to end range of network implementation services that we provide globally to our extensive customer base.



 

We also provide comprehensive after sales and maintenance services  for communications equipment used in transportation across Europe as well as operations and maintenance training.
