Abu Dhabi Radome – Complex interface with existing building

AlanDick was awarded this contract because of our unique engineering ability, to ensure that a radome is safely and securely interfaced with an existing high rise building.

The Radome design posed the AlanDick team with a number of major challenges:

• Structural engineering of the radome structure
• Detailed interface engineering
• 3D modelling of the Radome and interface
• Installation and commissioning of a large, detailed structure at great height

We were able to draw upon our wealth of experience and expertise in design, engineering and installation to ensure that the project was delivered on time and according to the client’s specifications.

The result is a Radome, 18m in diameter and with a 100% sphere that to this day remains one of the most impressive sites in a high rise city.
