Tactus signs up Alarmtrail as its UK Distributor for Generator and
Tracking Applications

October, 2006 – Tactus, the AlanDick telemetry products and solutions company, has announced that Alarmtrail Limited will distribute its remote management telemetry solutions in the UK and other markets. Initially the Canterbury-based distributor will concentrate on promoting the revolutionary Tactus GenTrak system, which cost-effectively supports the complete remote management of fixed and mobile generators within its UK customer base. The Tactus GenTrak system consists of a compact and rugged unit that can be mounted inside the generator, connecting to the generator control panel and interfacing with generator systems using specialised sensors such as fuel probes. Features of GenTrak, which is expected to save large users and rental companies’ unnecessary expensive site visits, and so keep costs to a minimum, including the automatic checking of functions such as power output and vital signs such as fuel levels plus oil quality. When these functions pass pre-set limits, GenTrak automatically raises the alarm for a maintenance engineer to visit. Commenting on the appointment of Alarmtrail as a distributor, David Williams, AlanDick’s Group Sales Manager, said that the UK market offers us all major sales opportunities for the Tactus GenTrak system and our standard Tactus GTT telemetry terminal James Fraser, Alarmtrail’s Managing Director, said he expects sales to come from large users, network operators, and hire markets, in which the distributor has made its name known with its advanced tracking and telemetry solutions. “We have established ourselves as a leading player in wireless tracking technology marketplace and, thanks to the link with AlanDick Tactus we fully expect our position to go from strength to strength,” he said. Fraser said that he expects to build on his company’s relationship with Tactus, by offering the full range of the company’s leading edge products to the growing markets in Europe, Middle East and Africa with special focus in the UK.
